Scotland Health is pleased to welcome Deborah Morgan, MSN, CNM, FNP-C, an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner, to the Women’s Health Center of the Carolinas – Laurinburg.
Deborah brings more than 20 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife, along with additional experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, providing comprehensive care across the lifespan. Her clinical expertise includes full-scope midwifery care, management of low- and high-risk pregnancies, labor and delivery, postpartum care, and gynecologic services, as well as pediatric care and the management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
In her role, Deborah will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to women at every stage of life, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and routine gynecologic care. She is highly skilled in managing both routine and complex obstetric cases and brings extensive experience in the collaborative care of high-risk patients.
Most recently, Deborah served with Cape Fear Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she provided care in both clinical and hospital settings, managing obstetric patients, supporting labor and delivery, and mentoring students and residents. She has also worked with the Cumberland County Health Department, delivering pediatric primary care and STI services, further expanding her ability to care for diverse patient populations.
Deborah earned her Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nurse Midwifery from East Carolina University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Deborah is committed to building strong relationships with her patients and ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered in their healthcare decisions.
