Scotland Health Honors Juanita Swinney Griffith with Scotland Way in Action Award

Scotland Health is proud to recognize Juanita Swinney-Griffith as a recipient of the Scotland Way in Action Award, celebrating her outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication, and commitment to improving community health.

Swinney-Griffith exemplifies the Scotland Way in Action through her calm, thoughtful approach and her ability to bring people together around meaningful work. Her passion for prevention and community health ensures that every voice is heard and that every initiative makes a measurable impact across the communities Scotland Health serves.

When called upon to help launch the innovative Hospital at Home program, Swinney-Griffith embraced the opportunity with a “yes we can” mindset. Over the past year, she has played a key role in shaping the program’s success while also mentoring colleagues and sharing her expertise in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Her guidance has helped connect strategic goals with real-world outcomes—strengthening the organization’s ability to respond to community needs.

Swinney-Griffith’s leadership extends across multiple critical initiatives. From overseeing complex data collection and analysis to collaborating with community partners on the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), she approaches every challenge with a singular focus: improving the health and well-being of the community. Her dedication, insight, and collaborative spirit are evident in the many projects she supports each week.

The Scotland Way in Action Award recognizes teammates who demonstrate excellence in living out the organization’s core values through their daily work. Established in May 2023, the award honors teammates with a special department recognition celebration.
