Scotland Health is pleased to announce the addition of Shannon Courtleigh, PA-C, an experienced Physician Assistant with a strong background in family medicine, emergency care, and urgent care services, to its medical staff at Marlboro Family Practice and Urgent Care.
Shannon brings extensive clinical experience providing care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations. Most recently, she has served as a Physician Assistant with Stedman-Wade Family Medical Center in Wade, North Carolina, where she managed a panel of more than 600 patients and provided comprehensive primary care, including chronic disease management, preventive wellness visits, and minor procedures.
Her diverse background also includes urgent care and emergency medicine experience, where she has evaluated and treated a wide range of conditions and performed procedures in fast-paced clinical settings. Her experience spans both hospital systems and outpatient clinics, giving her a well-rounded, patient-centered approach to care.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Shannon has demonstrated leadership in emergency preparedness and operational processes, including developing protocols, implementing safety systems, and supporting compliance with healthcare regulations.
Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia University and later completed a Master of Science in Disaster Medicine and Management. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and holds multiple advanced life support certifications.
